F1 is back at Sepang on 2–4 October 2026, this time under the Bahrain Grand Prix name. When buying tickets, look for Bahrain GP in Malaysia and check that the venue is Sepang. The name has travelled further than you need to.

The main choice is between a reserved grandstand seat and a spot on the grassy hillstands. Main, K1 and F offer covered seating; the cheaper hillstand tickets mean choosing your own patch of grass and coming prepared for the weather. A roof is a fairly persuasive upgrade after a few hours in the Malaysian sun.

Standard tickets cover Friday to Sunday. Our Sepang grandstand guide explains the views and trade-offs.

Malaysia GP Tickets FAQ

Are seats in grandstands reserved?

Yes. Main, K1 and F are listed with numbered seating. Hillstands are unreserved grass areas. For Main, pay attention to the section offered: the north and south sides face different parts of the circuit.

Are single-day tickets available?

The organiser currently lists three-day tickets, covering 2–4 October. There are no single-day options in its published ticket list.

Can I try other grandstands on Friday?

No free-roaming day or multi-grandstand ticket has been confirmed for this event. Plan to use the area printed on your ticket throughout the weekend; the Friday roaming arrangement from 2017 is not a confirmed 2026 benefit.

What children’s tickets are available?

The organiser offers 25% off for ages 3–6, excluding G Hillstand. Under-threes enter free without an allocated seat. Check that your seller offers the appropriate child category before booking.

Can anyone buy the RM200 G Hillstand ticket?

No. G Hillstand is exclusively for Malaysian citizens with a valid MyKad. Bring the required proof of eligibility; a discounted ticket without it can mean paying the difference or being refused entry.

Is there a pit-lane walk?

Yes, on Thursday 1 October, with a separate RM20 pass and a valid race-weekend ticket. Passes are limited to one per customer. Gates open at 2.30pm, the session begins at 3.15pm and gates close at 4.30pm. Thursday public access is restricted to pit-walk pass holders.

Are the concerts included?

No. Axwell on Saturday 3 October is a US$50 upgrade; Martin Garrix on Sunday 4 October is US$100. You also need a valid race-weekend ticket, and capacity is limited. Retailers may apply additional eligibility rules: Gootickets currently specifies a race ticket bought before 8 September and a matching account email, so a new race booking there does not automatically qualify.

Can I share a three-day ticket with a friend?

The event terms make tickets non-transferable and prohibit resale without the required written permission. Don’t buy a weekend ticket on the assumption you can split the days between different people.

Are the old Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull packages available?

Those were part of the previous Malaysian Grand Prix offering. They are not confirmed for this event, so don’t expect team merchandise, lunches or transport with an ordinary grandstand ticket.

What about hospitality?

Three-day Paddock Club packages are listed for Sepang, with hospitality above the pits. Compare the specific inclusions before booking through the F1 Paddock Club shop; a standard Main Grandstand seat is a different product.
